These terms cover work performed by Scallywags Pressure Washing in Hebron, Connecticut and the surrounding towns. Booking work with us means you agree to them.
Quotes & estimates
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. We quote after looking at the property in person, and the price we give you is the price you pay for the scope we described. If you add work after we've started, we'll agree the additional cost with you before doing it. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Scheduling, weather & cancellations
Exterior cleaning depends on weather. Heavy rain, high wind, or freezing temperatures mean we reschedule — we'll contact you as early as we can, and rescheduling for weather never costs you anything.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, just let us know as early as you can so we can fill the slot. We don't charge a cancellation fee.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. If a job needs a deposit — occasionally the case on larger holiday lighting installations — we'll tell you before you book, never after.
Property access & your responsibilities
To do the work we need access to the areas being cleaned and to a working outdoor water spigot. Before we arrive, please:
- Move vehicles clear of the work area
- Close all windows and doors
- Bring in or move items you don't want wet — cushions, mats, decorations, pet bowls
- Secure pets indoors while we're working
- Tell us about any known issues: loose siding, failed seals, previous leaks, damaged shingles, or non-working fixtures
If you're not going to be home, let us know in advance how we should access the property.
Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with the work, tell us within 7 days and we'll come back and address it at no charge. We want the job right more than we want to be finished with it.
Pre-existing conditions & limitations
Exterior cleaning reveals things. Oxidized paint, failed caulking, damaged shingles, rotted trim, loose siding, and old stains that have penetrated the surface may not look better after cleaning, and in some cases become more visible once the grime is gone. We'll point out anything we notice while quoting, but we can't be responsible for pre-existing damage or for conditions hidden under the dirt.
Some staining — deeply set oil, rust, artillery fungus, and certain mineral deposits — may lighten substantially rather than disappear entirely. We'll always tell you up front when we expect that to be the case.
Insurance & liability
We are fully insured and are happy to provide a certificate of insurance on request — just ask and we'll send it over. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.
Photography
We photograph our work before and after, and may use those photos in our gallery, on social media, and in advertising. We never publish addresses. If you'd rather we didn't use photos of your property, just tell us and we won't.
